PGA National Resort is one of American golf’s most iconic. The Champion Course has hosted the Honda Classic and Cognizant Classic for decades — the Bear Trap at holes 15, 16 and 17 is as recognisable a stretch of holes as any on the PGA Tour.

In the final round of February’s Cognizant Classic, the Bear Trap swallowed Shane Lowry whole. Back-to-back double bogeys at 16 and 17 squandered his three-shot lead and handed victory to Nico Echavarria. In 2012, Rory McIlroy held off a charging Tiger Woods, who fired a final round 62, to seal his third PGA Tour win. In 2025, Jake Knapp fired a 59, proving that if you’re good enough on the day, the Bear Trap can be conquered.

In December, our field will take on these same holes. Players will take on the Champion Course in rounds 1 and 4, while rounds 2 and 3 take place on the Fazio & Palmer courses — both exceptional championship courses. Away from the course, the newly renovated resort offers everything you’d expect from a luxury South Florida destination.

Not at all. It's common for players to register individually or as a pair and be matched with others to complete a team. Let us know your preferences and we'll do our best to find the right fit.
The amateur competition uses a net format, so you'll need an official handicap of 36 or below to enter.
Yes. A travel partner add-on is available from $375 depending on your package. They'll receive the same daily resort credit as playing participants, their own welcome gift set, and are welcome at all social events throughout the week.
Yes, of course. Give us some more info on your preferences and we'll find you the best pro we can in our network to team up with you. We have a number of Korn Ferry & Challenge Tour pros on speed dial!
Available upon request. Let us know if you'd like to play additional rounds prior to the event and we'll get this scheduled. Resort practice facilities are available throughout your stay.
Every guest receives $25 per person per night in resort credit, usable across the resort's restaurants, bars and spa. Most guests use it toward breakfast each morning. It can be applied to any charge on your room account during your stay.
PGA National Resort doesn't include breakfast in its packages, but the $25 daily resort credit per guest is designed to cover it.
Your 25% deposit secures your spot at registration. The remaining balance is due by October 24, 2026. You'll receive a reminder with a secure payment link ahead of the due date.
Travel to and from Palm Beach Gardens, meals and drinks beyond your daily resort credit as well as those included at the welcome event and closing social, personal incidental spend, caddie fees if requested, spa treatments, airport transfers and travel insurance are not included. Everything else is covered in your package price.
Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel. Deposits are refundable only if your spot is filled by another participant — if it is, a 90% refund will be processed. Cancellations inside 60 days of the event (after October 10, 2026) carry a 15% fee on the total package value. Cancellations inside 30 days (after November 10, 2026) carry a 50% fee. Both fees apply to filled spots only. We recommend arranging travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances — feel free to get in touch with any questions.
